Survey open to all actors in the global drone market ecosystem — manufacturers, operators, investors, associations, regulators, and service providers
Hamburg, Germany — June 9, 2026
Drone Industry Insights (DII), the leading research and intelligence provider for the global drone market, today officially opens the 9th edition of the Global Drone Survey. It is the world’s largest annual data-collection initiative for the unmanned aerial systems industry and is available in 8 languages.
Building on the momentum of last week’s Drone Market Map 2026 release — which charted 1,413 companies across 70 countries and reached tens of thousands of drone professionals worldwide — the survey invites every actor in the drone market environment to share their perspective on the state of the industry.
The survey is open until July 31, 2026. Results will be published in the free State of Drones white paper in Q3 2026.
| 9th Edition | ~1,000 Annual Responses | 70+ Countries Represented |

| “The Global Drone Survey is one of the most valuable things we provide for the industry — not because of what we publish, but because of what it tells you. Eight years in, the data has become a reference point that decision-makers, investors, and policymakers around the world rely on. This year, we’re pairing the survey with ASTRA — because the industry doesn’t just need a snapshot once a year. It needs living intelligence, every day.” — Kay Wackwitz, CEO, Drone Industry Insights |
