20th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium Returns to Oshkosh

50+ Confirmed Speakers for World’s Longest Running Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Conference

Fairfax, Virginia, USA, June 28, 2026 — The 20th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium (EAS) returns to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on July 18–19, 2026, the weekend before the world’s largest aviation event, the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture Oshkosh.

The world’s longest running advanced air mobility (AAM) conference will feature a record number of speakers participating in 12 in-depth sessions encompassing a broad range of electric aircraft categories featuring battery-, hybrid- and hydrogen-electric propulsion approaches, plus sessions on infrastructure and regulations.

This year, EAS 2026 has 50+ confirmed speakers and moderators, including presentations by a leading helicopter manufacturer (Robinson), 10 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developers (AIR EV, BETA Technologies, Eve, Horizon Aircraft, Joby Aviation, Jump Aero, LamVec Technology, Pivotal Aero, Skyfly and Wisk), seven conventional (eCTOL) and short (eSTOL) takeoff and landing aircraft developers (ALPHAFROG, Ampaire, AURA AERO, Bye Aerospace, Electra Aero, EVIO Aircraft and Pipistrel), six propulsion system companies H2FLY, Hydroplane, magniX, Pratt & Whitney Canada, RED Aircraft and Whisper Aero), infrastructure experts and technology developers (Bosch Aviation Technology, Electro Aero, Five-Alpha, Harper 4D Solutions, NEXA Capital and Vertiport Chicago), as well as representatives from NASA and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

EAS 2026 will also highlight two recent developments that are stimulating renewed interest in electric aircraft and AAM across the United States:

  • The FAA’s new MOSAIC (Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification) rule that revolutionizes general aviation by updating light sport aircraft (LSA) categories to include electric propulsion, rotorcraft and powered-lift aircraft for the first time.
  • The FAA’s new eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), which will see eight projects spanning 26 states and involve leading aircraft manufacturers, operators, state partners and airports.

The FAA will be represented at EAS 2026 by Jeffrey U. Vincent, the FAA Southern Region Administrator. He is the agency’s senior official responsible for directing activities across eight southeastern states.

Electric aviation pioneers Mark Moore of Whisper Aero (previously with NASA and Uber Elevate) and Dr. Tine Tomažič of Pipistel first spoke at EAS 2007 and EAS 2008, respectively, in San Franscisco. Two decades later, they will return to give presentations and retrospectives highlighting the past, present and future of electric aviation and AAM.

EAS 2026 is being held on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus in the Reeve Memorial Union building at 748 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, 54901 which is five miles (8 km) by road north of the EAA AirVenture grounds.

Regular EAS 2026 tickets are $275 — less than half the price of similar conferences. Attendees and others can also purchase a video recording of the Symposium and copies of the PDF presentations as a package for $150.

This year, full-time students can attend the full EAS 2026 program for only $50. In addition, those students conducting electric aircraft research are invited to participate in a Student Poster Session highlighting their research. The additional cost to participate in the poster session is $75. Students should send a short summary of the proposed poster to info@eas2026.org.

EAS 2026 sponsors include AERO Friedrichshafen, BLOOMY, GoEngineer, NEXA Capital Partners, Pivotal, Robinson Helicopter Company, Toray Industries, Inc., Vertical Flight Society, Whisper Aero and Wisk. EAS Advertisers include Bosch Aviation Technology LLC and RED Aircraft. Exhibitors include BLOOMY, M4 Engineering, Inc., Neuroglia Technologies, SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo and TotalSim.

EAS, first held in 2007, is the world’s longest running conference on electric aviation. Since 2017, the symposium has been held in conjunction with AirVenture Oshkosh, which attracted more than 700,000 attendees and 10,000 aircraft last year. EAS 2026 is organized by the Federal City Chapter of the Vertical Flight Society (VFS).
