Partnership equips Skyfall’s Shrike with Auterion’s Skynode S and Strike software, delivering terminal guidance today and a software path to swarming
KYIV, Ukraine — July 13, 2026 — Auterion and Skyfall today announced their partnership: the delivery of 50,000 Skyfall Shrike drones equipped with Auterion Strike kits to Ukrainian forces have commenced this week and will be concluded in full over the coming months. The delivery is funded by a European NATO nation under a contract awarded to Auterion and jointly executed by both companies.
The partnership brings together two proven technologies: the Shrike combat platform — the most effective fault-tolerant FPV drone, purpose-built to perform combat missions in challenging environments — and Auterion’s autonomy platform.
Over the course of combat operations, Shrike has already helped Ukrainian forces destroy enemy military assets valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. Confirmed targets include a Mi-8 helicopter, the TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system, electronic warfare systems, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and other high-value targets.
Under the agreement, each Shrike ships with Auterion Skynode S, the autonomy hardware and software stack that enhances the platform with terminal guidance. Operators gain precision against moving and evasive targets in contested electronic environments, including conditions where GPS and the radio link are degraded or denied. In addition, the Skynode S platform will enable Shrike drones to acquire swarming capability through a future software update, with no changes to the airframe or additional hardware required.
“Software defines the modern battlefield,” said Lorenz Meier, founder and CEO of Auterion. “We are giving operators terminal guidance today and a path to swarming tomorrow, on the same hardware, through a software update. This is the largest partnership in our history. It shows how the West scales precision through software, not new hardware.”
“Behind every Shrike are years of R&D, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement. Today, we welcome Auterion’s decision to join forces with the most effective FPV drone on the front line to create a technology that meets not only the demands of today’s battlefield, but also the challenges of tomorrow,” said Mykola Makovieiev, CEO of SkyFall.
