Netherlands-based Command and Control (C2) platform certified for connectivity with 31 Fusion and 15 Edge nodes under STANREC 4869; selected as leading C2 for Team BRAVO in NATO TIE26 performance challenge
Marknesse, The Netherlands — June 2026 — Airwayz Netherlands BV, developer of the OVERWATCH airspace governance platform, today announced the results of its participation in NATO TIE 2026 (Technical Interoperability Exercise) at NLR Marknesse, Netherlands, May 11–22, 2026. OVERWATCH performed as the leading C2 of Team BRAVO, consolidating the team’s information in the performance challenge against a Red of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Three other teams ALPHA, CHARLIE, and DELTA were formed during the performance challenge from the industry participants in TIE26 and were presented with the same Red Air challenge. At the conclusion of the exercise, Airwayz received an official SAPIENT Interoperability Certificate from the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), certifying successful connectivity with 31 Fusion and 15 Edge nodes using STANREC 4869 (Countering Class I UAS).
Team BRAVO comprised counter-UAS systems from 13 countries, spanning acoustic, passive RF, radar, jammers, interceptors, and remote ID capabilities. As leading C2, OVERWATCH fused all sensor inputs into a single Recognised Air Picture, executed SAPIENT Tasking to command effectors directly (achieved by only a handful of C2 systems at TIE26), and operated as the top-level C2 node, commanding the full sensor-effector picture across the team. The full deployment ran on-premise, standalone LAN, with no external internet dependency.

“What TIE26 confirmed in the field is something we have known since building OVERWATCH: the scale and speed of coordinated drone threats in a contested airspace exceeds what any human-led C2 can process alone,” said Brigadier General (Res.) Yaron Rosen, Executive Chairman of Airwayz. “Connecting with 31 Fusion and 15 Edge nodes — systems from 13 countries, never integrated before, through a single C2 governance layer, under a real commander, against a real threat: that is the standard NATO needs. We are proud to have met it, and ready to work with every nation and system that was part of TIE26.”
OVERWATCH is operationally deployed across strategic ports including Rotterdam (3.5 years, 80+ daily vendors, zero shutdowns) and Ashdod; serves as the System of Record for airspace governance in active conflict environments; has been validated through a live performance drill for FIFA World Cup fan zone and venue protection; and is integrated into a nation-wide UTM program spanning multiple international airports.TIE26 serves as qualification for BATT26 (Baltic Trust 2026), a live operational field exercise in Latvia in August 2026.
TIE26 marks a significant milestone in Airwayz’s partnership with NATO NCIA, and the company looks forward to continued collaboration with allied nations and industry partners across future NATO C-UAS exercises.
