Press Release
Paris, November 17, 2025 – Exwayz, pioneer in 3D positioning and navigation software, announces a €1 million fundraising round led by CentraleSupélec Venture. This amount includes a grant awarded by the prestigious i-Lab Innovation Competition under the France 2030 plan. The funding marks a key milestone for the company as it aims to make 3D localization reliable and accessible to all manufacturers of autonomous systems. It also comes with new strategic partnerships with the Swiss scale-up Embotech and the Boston-based Cyvl.ai, and the arrival of Yves Bonnefont, former Stellantis executive, as non-executive advisor.
A clear ambition: enabling robots to move without limits
Delivery robots, autonomous vehicles, industrial and logistics inspection – the demand for autonomous robotics is exploding. Yet one major challenge remains: ensuring reliable localization in complex environments such as ports, factories, warehouses, or urban canyons.
This is precisely the challenge that Exwayz addresses with its proprietary Exwayz SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) technology. It allows any LiDAR-equipped mobile system to localize itself in real time with centimeter-level accuracy.
“Our mission is simple: to make 3D localization accessible to every manufacturer of autonomous systems. We want to break the glass ceiling still limiting robotics today and unlock new applications in industry, mobility, logistics, and safety,” explains Hassan Bouchiba, cofounder and CEO of Exwayz.
Funding to accelerate R&D and global expansion
This fundraising will strengthen the technical and R&D teams with new hires specializing in algorithms, 3D vision, and data science, and accelerate the industrial optimization and robustness of the SLAM solution.
Exwayz also plans to scale its commercial deployment in robotics, mobility, logistics, and industrial inspection, by multiplying strategic partnerships and pilot projects worldwide.
The startup is supported by 21st by CentraleSupélec, the deeptech accelerator based at Station F, the world’s largest startup campus.
To support its growth, the company completed a first funding round with the venture capital fund CentraleSupélec Venture.
“In line with our mission to back deeptech startups from their earliest stages, this investment in Exwayz supports a company that has already earned the trust of over twenty clients,” says Cédric Curtil, Managing Director of CentraleSupélec Venture.
Proven technology deployed worldwide
Exwayz technology is already being deployed by leading players in robotics and geospatial industries across five continents. Among them, Embotech (Switzerland), a scale-up developing fully autonomous trucks for ports and logistics hubs, relies on Exwayz SLAM to ensure centimeter-accurate navigation in challenging environments with unreliable GNSS signals. At the Port of Rotterdam, 30 autonomous trucks powered by Embotech and Exwayz will be deployed in 2026 – a major step toward safer, more efficient container handling.
Giorgio Corbellini, COO of Embotech, comments: “Exwayz provides precise LiDAR-based localization and mapping capabilities that strengthen our autonomous solutions. Their consistent quality, steady feature improvements and collaborative approach make them a valued technology partner.”
In the United States, Cyvl.ai – a Boston-based scale-up specializing in geospatial data analysis for road infrastructure management – uses Exwayz SLAM to map tens of thousands of kilometers of roads each year with centimeter-level precision. Already serving over 200 municipalities, Cyvl.ai leverages Exwayz to generate ultra-accurate 3D maps across the U.S., enabling predictive maintenance and advancing the modernization and safety of the national road network.
Daniel Pelaez, CEO of Cyvl.ai, says: “Here at Cyvl, we’ve partnered with Exwayz to help power our SLAM pipelines to deliver robust, large scale, and highly accurate 3D point clouds that fuel our solutions for cities. Exwayz software is reliable and their support is top notch.”
Former Stellantis executive Yves Bonnefont joins Exwayz as advisor
Yves Bonnefont, a recognized figure in mobility and embedded technologies, joins Exwayz as non-executive advisor and business angel.
A graduate of École Centrale Paris, Bonnefont began his career at McKinsey before joining Stellantis, where he founded DS Automobiles and later led the group’s software and digital transformation. His experience will be instrumental in helping Exwayz become a global leader in 3D perception and autonomous navigation.
Yves Bonnefont states: “With key industrial partnerships and world-class technology, Exwayz embodies the new generation of French deeptechs revolutionizing the autonomous systems industry. I’m proud to support this exceptional team in their next phase of growth.”
