As industries worldwide increasingly embrace automation and advanced unmanned technologies, two Canadian companies aim to reshape the landscape: Nested Technologies and Infinit Drones. Nested has steadily built its reputation through nearly two decades of focused research, development and manufacturing, delivering everything from BVLOS-certified aircraft to custom robotics solutions. Operating out of a newly expanded facility, Nested works hand-in-hand with its exclusive vendor, Infinit Drones, to provide businesses across countless sectors with powerful, tailored tools to boost efficiency and drive real operational gains. Their direct linkage represents more than product innovation. It offers organizations literally a one-stop-shop path to smarter, safer and more productive missions, however or wherever they operate.
Meet Pedram Nowroozi: Engineer, Pilot, Industry Visionary
Pedram Nowroozi leads both Nested Technologies and Infinit Drones with a unique blend of engineering mastery, hands-on innovation and customer-focused business growth. He brings nearly two decades in the drone industry, over 7,000 hours of flight time and the kind of technical expertise that comes from personally designing, building and flying hundreds of unmanned systems. His entire career has focused on making advanced robotics practical, robust, and scalable for users worldwide. “I’ve been in the drone industry a little bit over 19 years, so about two decades,” he shared. “It’s pretty much the only industry I’ve been in my whole life.”
The Backbone: Evolution of Nested Technologies
Born from curiosity and a drive to move robotics out of the lab and into real-world operations, Nested Technologies emerged in Canada to address the drone market’s most persistent limitations. Starting with camera stabilizers and custom equipment, the company soon shifted to drone manufacturing and solution design, building a reputation for taking on challenges others wouldn’t touch.
Over the past 18 years, Nested Technologies has moved from a small start-up to an industry leader. The company recently graduated to a new, state-of-the-art 11,000-square-foot facility in Woodbridge, Ontario. This cutting-edge space houses all engineering, manufacturing, training and support staff under one roof. The expansion includes a dedicated 2,000-square-foot training center, showroom, and robust support infrastructure—elements designed for one reason: to accelerate customer success and drive real operational ROI. It allows the company to offer not just products, but immersive training and responsive, on-site after-sales services.
And it doesn’t end there. Nowroozi said they plan to expand by another 5,000 square feet in the next two months “so, we’re able to support more of our clients and the products that we’re creating.”
Infinit Drones: The Market-Making Frontline
Infinit Drones is Nested’s exclusive distribution partner and rapidly growing global storefront. Now housed within the same expanding facility, Infinit serves as the public face that provides drone buyers around the world with direct access to Nested’s technologies.
This one-stop approach between the two companies enables customers to tap into everything from system selection to customizations, regulatory and hardware training, ongoing repair and even white-label component manufacturing.
Infinit’s online store and hands-on consultation model means customers, whether in Canada or across the globe, can order, request custom builds or seek responsive technical support. “We want to make sure that we provide [clients] with the correct equipment so they can carry out their work… and make it a way that they can understand how to use it,” Nowroozi emphasized.
Beyond Drones: Ecosystem Solutions
While Nested Technologies manufactures two core aircraft, the Titan X8 (designed for oil and gas leak detection) and the Hero Alpha (a quick-deploy ISR platform), their emphasis has shifted to the bigger stage of full ecosystem solutions. Whether responding to client requests for high-spec payloads or building white-label products for major OEMs, Nested focuses on the systems and payloads that drive mission success.
“Our main goal really is payloads and accessories to aid our clients,” Nowroozi reflected. “There’s a lot of good equipment out there… so that’s why we’ve kind of focused on that. We also, under the Nested brand, do some white-label manufacturing for some other companies as well and we’ve been helping them grow.”
Indeed, when major names in the industry need custom gas detection or thermal payloads, they turn to Nested as the behind-the-scenes architects of high-value technology.
Of course, Nested makes its own tech too. Some of its most compelling products, each born from direct collaboration with end users, include the SkyTorch Tactical, SkyClean, and SkyVision.
Lighting the Way: SkyTorch Tactical
SkyTorch, a drone lighting system, began as a user-driven innovation. The original version emerged in answer to emergency response teams who faced the dangerous challenge of building breaches and interior scouting in the dark. Their common complaint was that when piloting manually in the dark, they couldn’t see and would hit walls. Nowroozi and his team responded by sitting down with responders and then iterating through custom LED chipsets, mounting systems and real-world field trials.
Initially deployed for inspection tasks, such as under bridges and in pipelines where light was needed, the real breakthrough came when these systems were fielded in tactical law enforcement environments. The SkyTorch evolved to output up to 3,000 lumens forward and 1,800 lumens downward, with rugged IP65-rated housing and clever engineering touches like a RAM mechanism for opening/closing doors and flipping light switches remotely. It is, quite literally, a tool that saves lives and reduces risk.
“You could light up a 3,000-foot facility as if it’s daytime. [Emergency responders] were able to clear the room and get everyone safely out,” Nowroozi recounted, highlighting an operation where the system enabled safe negotiation with an armed individual that saved the people and animals involved. “You can hurt a robot as much as you want… but for us, it’s really important that we don’t see any human get hurt. That’s why we love the SkyTorch so much,” Nowroozi emphasized. (Watch the AGN SkyTorch Tactical Worldwide Premier video).
SkyTorch Tactical, with changes like wider-angle lighting, lighter and tougher plastics and compatibility with leading public safety drone platforms, exemplifies how user feedback continuously shapes Nested’s solution.
Power and Purpose: SkyClean
If SkyTorch is about visibility, SkyClean is about sheer power and efficiency. Originating from market demand and, again, a customer’s unsolved problem, Infinit built SkyClean to address the inadequacies of existing cleaning drones. Commercial window washing, graffiti removal and critical building maintenance, often limited by inadequate PSI and risky manual labor, cried out for a solution that could reach new heights, literally and figuratively.
“Our current system can do up to 4,000 PSI,” Nowroozi explained, describing his system powered by a ground-based pressure washer and a 100-foot tethered hose, which eliminates the need for heavy on-board reservoirs. “A team of ours did an entire 13-story building, all four sides, in around four to five hours. Normally, that would take a week with traditional methods, not to mention the danger to workers hanging off scaffolding,” he said.
The design also allows for customizable chemical delivery and flexible aircraft mounting. This means that service providers can expand their offerings, increase safety and dramatically improve ROI, all while future-proofing their building maintenance operations.
Command and Control, Reimagined: SkyVision
SkyVision began as a direct answer to an unmet need for operational redundancy and flexibility in mobile command centers. While competitors’ systems lacked multiple, fail-safe communication channels and switching capabilities, Nested created a solution with built-in SIM redundancy, Starlink satellite input, dual HDMI (wired and wireless), and a pilot-relief switcher for seamless team transitions.
“The idea came from a client where they needed to relieve an officer. [With SkyVision] you press the button… and all the video switches to operator number two,” Nowroozi detailed.
Designed for the messy, unpredictable realities of public safety and field operations, with SkyVision, users get up to 12 hours runtime, rapid vehicle charging and live broadcast capability via IP. All of these capabilities enable mission continuity in the most demanding environments.
Building for What’s Next
Nested Technologies and Infinit Drones aren’t simply content with status quo in a fast-evolving field. The companies’ investments in infrastructure, physical expansion, and talent are rooted in a philosophy of accessibility and support: integrated training, rapid maintenance and repair, and hands-on, engineered-in-Canada excellence.
Looking ahead, both companies will be doubling down on their shared space in Woodbridge, refining their “under one roof” approach with further facility growth, integrated demonstration and training labs, and an unwavering focus on customer success both in Canada and overseas.
“Our after-sales support is the best…Our main goal is that our products never result in downtime. We make sure everyone has every equipment that they need. And that they have the correct training, all supported by us,” Nowroozi declared.
A Final Word, and Invitation
For Nested Technologies and Infinit Drones, growth isn’t a numbers game. It’s about community, creativity and solving the next wave of client challenges. As Nowroozi put it, “We like to give back to the industry. Our goal here is not to just keep pushing hardware… It’s actually to try to induce creativity, to induce some sort of growth. We do see the industry growing every single day. We want to be a big part of that, to help everyone grow. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
And when the next challenge appears, Nowroozi urges, “Please give it to us. We love the challenge. My engineers absolutely light up when we come to them and say, ‘Hey guys, we have a new challenge.’” In the meantime, Nested Technologies and Infinit Drones will continue to light up, clean up and keep on powering drone operations worldwide.
