GeoCue turns 20 this year, and the company is celebrating the milestone the way it knows best: by adding more sensors to an ecosystem it has spent two decades building. At Commercial UAV Expo 2026 in Las Vegas, GeoCue unveiled two new additions to its NDAA-compliant TrueView aerial LiDAR portfolio, the TV1 NDAA UL and the TV1 NDAA. At InterGeo 2026, the company is announcing the latest addition to its standard aerial LiDAR portfolio with the launch of the TrueView 550, a new mid-range mapping system designed to advance the capabilities established by the proven TrueView 539 and TrueView 540. All of these new additions give aerial mapping professionals more entry points into a workflow that GeoCue has refined since its earliest days as a point cloud processing company.
The announcements land as GeoCue’s LP360 software platform, the backbone that ties every TrueView sensor together, also celebrates its 20th anniversary. That timing reflects a strategy GeoCue has pursued consistently since its founding: build hardware that plugs into one unified software environment so operators never have to bounce between disconnected tools to get from raw point cloud to finished deliverable.
From Point Cloud Software to a Full Sensor Ecosystem

Darrick Wagg, Vice President of Customer Success at GeoCue, framed the company’s trajectory in terms of integration rather than isolated product launches. He described the LP360 software as a toolbox that spans accuracy assessment, point cloud classification, surface modeling and deliverable generation.
That toolbox now supports a growing family of hardware. Wagg pointed to the TrueView 539, the NDAA-compliant TrueView 641 introduced last year, and now the newest additions to the roster, the TV1 NDAA UL and NDAA, a fully NDAA compliant system integrated with the company’s new laser scanner and the TrueView 550.
Important to note, GeoCue’s ecosystem strategy extends beyond its own hardware line. The company supports DJI’s L1, L2 and now L3 sensors, along with Emesent’s Hovermap workflows, inside the same LP360 environment. This way, regardless of which sensor a customer flies, the processing experience stays consistent. “It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got our hardware or someone else’s hardware,” Wagg explained. “You process them all pretty much exactly the same way in LP360, so it’s very familiar to work with. That way you’re not restricted on the hardware side.”
New Sensors Fill a Gap in the NDAA Lineup
The TV1 NDAA UL and TV1 NDAA, starting at $40,000, sit alongside the TrueView 641 NDAA and TrueView 651 NDAA as GeoCue works to give government, state, local and education organizations, along with the commercial firms serving those markets, more ways to meet compliance requirements without paying for capability they do not need.
Frank Darmayan, CEO of GeoCue, tied the launch directly to customer demand building throughout the year. “This year, our best-selling drone LiDAR system has been the TrueView 641 NDAA-compliant sensor, providing high quality, engineering grade data, and we have heard the need for more NDAA-compliant options loud and clear,” he said. “The TV1 NDAA UL and TV1 NDAA help fill that gap and further extend our NDAA-compliant sensor lineup.”
GeoCue confirmed it is submitting the TV1 NDAA UL for Green UAS approval, a designation that will open the door to additional government and defense-adjacent procurement channels.
Both new sensors share a common core: the Ouster OS1 MAX REV8, a 256-channel LiDAR unit capable of collecting up to 10.4 million points per second with a practical detection range of up to 200 meters at 10 percent reflectivity. That architecture lets operators fly faster, higher and over larger areas while still capturing the density professional mapping projects require.
TV1 NDAA UL Trims Weight Without Losing Color
The TV1 NDAA UL targets operators who need to keep every gram of payload in check. Built around the Ouster REV8 core, it uses native 48-bit direct colorization to assign RGB values to each 3D point as the sensor captures it, removing the need for a separate mapping camera just to add color to the point cloud. That makes it a natural fit for smaller multirotor aircraft and fixed-wing platforms where flight time and endurance depend heavily on payload weight. For agencies that need NDAA compliance but do not require a dedicated high-resolution camera, the TV1 NDAA UL opens an entirely new tier within the TrueView line.
TV1 NDAA Pairs LiDAR With High-Resolution Imagery
The TV1 NDAA takes a different approach for missions where imagery is as important as the point cloud itself. It adds an integrated 26-megapixel global shutter mapping camera to the same Ouster REV8 LiDAR core, capturing detailed point clouds and high-resolution imagery in a single flight.
Designed and built at GeoCue’s Alabama facility, the sensor suits topographic mapping, construction documentation, infrastructure inspection and corridor mapping projects that benefit from combined LiDAR and imagery deliverables.
Vivien Heriard-Dubreuil, CEO of mdGroup, GeoCue’s parent company, framed the release as a continuation of a pattern the company set in motion last year. “It was in 2025 that we introduced the TV1 Lite and TV1, expanding our professional portfolio of LiDAR sensors and giving an entry solution to our customers,” Heriard-Dubreuil noted. “It makes perfect sense to return in 2026 to further expand our NDAA-compliant portfolio in a similar way. The additions of the TV1 NDAA and TV1 NDAA UL, both designed and made in America, demonstrate how GeoCue continues to adapt to the market and provide customers with the tools they need to get the job done.”

For GeoCue, the headline is not so much about two new pieces of hardware, but more so about the fact that every new sensor slots into the same LP360 processing environment that Wagg described as the company’s keystone for two decades.

That philosophy matches what Wagg described at Commercial UAV Expo when he walked through the software side of the ecosystem, highlighting LP360’s expanding AI classification tools, including enhanced ground and non-ground feature detection, AI forestry metrics and utility corridor extraction that can identify insulators and catenary attachment points. In describing GeoCue’s public roadmap process where customers vote on which features come next, Wagg said, “We’re trying to engage with the community so that we’re developing what people actually need in the near term.”

Twenty years after launching a point cloud processing engine, GeoCue’s growth pattern represents a steady expansion of a single connected system. Each new sensor, whether it carries the TrueView name or comes from a partner like DJI, feeds into the same LP360 pipeline that the company has spent two decades refining. The TV1 NDAA UL, TV1 NDAA and TrueView 550 extend that pipeline to organizations that need compliance, affordability and flexibility in the same package, without asking them to abandon the workflow they already know.
