The growing demand across Europe for advanced loitering weapon systems has led Israeli company UVision to establish a new European subsidiary in Munich, Germany. According to the company, this move marks a significant step in strengthening its long‑term commitment to European customers as regional procurement of loitering munitions accelerates.

The new entity, UVision Europe GmbH, will serve as an anchor for UVision’s activities in Europe, building on the company’s expanding footprint and the momentum created by its strategic partnership with Rheinmetall. That partnership has already helped UVision integrate its Hero family of loitering munitions into European procurement frameworks and demonstrated the value of a closer local presence.

From Munich, UVision Europe will provide a comprehensive suite of capabilities that includes customer support, local sourcing and manufacturing, engineering, training, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). By shifting these functions into the European theater, the company expects to shorten response times, improve proximity to end users, and bolster supply chain resilience with a 100% European product portfolio.

The subsidiary is also tasked with supporting localized development projects tailored to specific European operational requirements. This includes aligning future system evolutions with emerging needs and establishing local assembly and production capabilities as part of UVision’s roadmap for a progressively more independent European operation.

All systems and solutions delivered through the new unit will be aligned with European regulations, standards, and certification requirements to ensure seamless integration into national and multinational defense frameworks. This regulatory fit is particularly important as NATO and allied forces continue to standardize loitering munitions, command‑and‑control interfaces, and safety protocols.

Roman Didenco has been appointed CEO of UVision Europe GmbH. “UVision Europe is established to address that need, bringing the company closer to its customers and creating the foundations for a progressively independent European operation,” he said, referring to the requirement for trusted, responsive and locally anchored defense partners as European armed forces accelerate procurement and modernization efforts.

UVision’s Hero family of loitering munition systems is already fielded by NATO and allied customers and integrated into existing procurement structures. The assignment of NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) to these systems underscores their maturity, credibility, and operational value on modern European battlefields, where precision, responsiveness, and flexible engagement profiles are becoming central requirements.
